Your First Visit

After consultation, you will have a Discovery Examination. This includes some of the usual as you would expect in any examination, and some parts are specific for NSA. Your nervous system will then be checked by the Subluxation Station 7000, This is painless and non-invasive. First a Thermography exam will be done to look for nerve root inflamation. Then a Surface EMG will determine if there is too much or too little muscle activity in your spine. When these are found, it is a sign that your nervous system is not working well, and you are more likely to become sick, or have troubles in life. The spine is the conduit of your life, and your health is reflected in the health of your spine. For you to    express health in all of it's aspects, your spine and nervous system must be as healthy as possible. The SEMG and Thermography will be printed out and given to you, along with a report on your second visit. You will have plenty of time to ask any questions you may have. As your health and wellness begin to change, the Thermography and SEMG are repeated periodically. This helps us chart the best course for you. It is vitally important that you stay fully informed so that you can make intelligent decisions about your health, and the path you choose to create a better life for yourself.

How Does NSA Work?

NSA never forces a correction. Unlike other types of Chiropractic, in NSA, we look for the areas of the spine that accepts a light touch. These are areas the body-mind feels safe, and "invites us in." By using very soft touches on parts of your spine, about what it takes to close your eyelid with your finger, you will begin to release deep seated tension, and breath deeply. Think of tension in your muscles and along the spine to be "noise" that makes it difficult or impossible for your body and mind to speak to, and hear each other. When your body-mind cannot communicate, your health, as well as your life is out of order. With NSA care, you may feel the urge to move or laugh. Your spine might even begin to create a wave of movement, much like a gentle wave on the ocean, that runs from your low back through your neck.   Simply allow this to happen, as it is normal, and often occurs.
